Well, we’ve returned from a successful trip to Duke. The filming went very well and Ethan has a new love in his life named Mandy (sorry, Brigitte…). Mandy is a childhood brain tumor survivor who is now a beautiful young woman in college studying to become a Child Life Specialist. The bad news for Ethan is that she’s already engaged to a Marine, but that didn’t seem to deter him from his pursuit (“Hey Mandy… want to come up to my room?” -- “Hey Mandy… do you want to come home with me? I’ll ask the pilot if its okay?” -- and my personal favorite “Hey, Mandy… will YOU take me to the potty?” We all had a fabulous time watching their relationship unfold. We’re enjoying a quiet week of recovery and will return to the hospital on Monday, February 3rd to begin cycle #7. We’re now approaching the half-way mark for the chemotherapy - which is a nice feeling.

with my brother Kevin back in October? We’ve posted the PSA
in several formats on the web site for anyone who is interested. I’m sure you’ll
agree that they both did a terrific job ~ and we have a special prize for anyone
who can decipher what Ethan says at the end!!
